Terms of Use
The terms for using PitchPolar and exploring the opportunities listed here.
01About PitchPolar
PitchPolar is an independent service operated by Aiko. The service primarily serves founders in North America and includes pitch opportunities worldwide. It brings together third-party pitch opportunities, curated educational videos and notes, and tools for organizing your pitch activity. Contact: [email protected].
These terms describe the basis on which we offer the service. Please read them before using PitchPolar, together with our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law.
02Accounts and access
The homepage displays the total number of published, upcoming events in the directory. Up to 30 free selections are available to browse on the homepage. Pro provides access to browsing the complete directory. Individual published event pages are public. Completed published events may remain available as historical listings and do not count toward the 30 upcoming free selections. Free selections cover different event dates and organizers and may change as listings are updated. Pro provides access to the complete directory with an active paid subscription. Pricing and legal pages are also public. Personal features require a verified email identity through an available sign-in method. A verified account does not grant administrator or Pro access. Keep your account secure, provide accurate information, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not impersonate someone else or use another person’s account without permission. If you use PitchPolar for an organization, you must be authorized to do so.
Beta features and access arrangements may change. Access to a feature during the beta does not create a paid subscription or guarantee continued free access to that feature.
03Third-party events
PitchPolar collects information from organizers, event platforms and other sources. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, we do not organize, endorse or control the events listed on the website.
We aim to provide useful information, but we cannot guarantee the authenticity, accuracy, completeness or availability of every listing. Dates, deadlines, eligibility, prices and venues may change, and events may be cancelled. A listing or “featured” label is not a verification of an organizer or a guarantee of event quality.
Before applying, paying, sharing sensitive information or making travel arrangements, confirm the details directly with the organizer. Registration links lead to third-party services with their own terms and privacy practices. Event registrations, ticket payments, cancellations and refunds are handled by the relevant organizer or platform.
Dates are generally displayed in New York time (ET). “New this week” refers to when an event was first published on PitchPolar, not when it takes place. If you notice an error or suspicious listing, email [email protected] with the event link.
04Learning resources and outcomes
Knowledge Lab links to or embeds third-party educational videos and provides accompanying notes. All published video titles, source links and available embedded playback are accessible without a Pro subscription. Six fixed editorial selections, one per topic, also include their complete PitchPolar notes for free. Pro includes the complete collection of PitchPolar’s original analysis, exercises and preparation worksheets while your Pro access is active. A free notes selection may be replaced if the original video becomes unavailable. Membership charges cover PitchPolar’s independent resources and tools; they do not purchase video playback rights or exclusive access to the original videos. The original videos belong to their respective rights holders and may become unavailable. Notes may be prepared with AI assistance and may contain mistakes or become outdated. They are not personalized legal, financial, investment or other professional advice.
Using PitchPolar does not guarantee an invitation, a successful application, an introduction, investment, a business partnership or any other outcome. Assess opportunities and obtain professional advice where appropriate for your circumstances.
05Pro subscriptions and billing
The following subscription terms apply when you purchase a PitchPolar Pro subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Waffo’s hosted checkout. Test payments do not create a live paid subscription or grant Pro access. The monthly plan costs US$8.99 per month. The quarterly plan costs US$23.99 every three months, charged in one payment for each three-month period. Both plans provide the same Pro features; only the billing frequency and price differ. Prices are in US dollars. The total price and any applicable tax treatment are shown at checkout before payment. Paid access begins when payment is confirmed. No annual plan is currently offered.
The monthly plan renews automatically each month, and the quarterly plan renews automatically every three months, at the price agreed at checkout until you cancel. Quarterly billing is a recurring subscription, not a one-time three-month pass. Any displayed monthly equivalent for the quarterly plan is an illustration; you are charged the full quarterly amount every three months. By purchasing, you authorize the disclosed recurring charges. The checkout must show the total price, billing frequency, renewal terms and cancellation method before you confirm payment. We will provide renewal notices where required by applicable law.
You can cancel future renewals at any time before the next renewal through the subscription controls on the Pro page, the cancellation method provided at checkout, or by emailing [email protected] from your account email address. A cancellation request received before renewal stops the next charge. You retain Pro access until the end of your paid billing period. Cancelling future renewals does not itself request a refund. If the online cancellation method is unavailable, contact us for assistance.
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, subscription payments are non-refundable for a change of mind or failure to use the service, and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time in a billing period. This policy does not limit statutory cancellation or refund rights. We will correct verified duplicate or erroneous charges and provide refunds or other remedies required by law if we fail to deliver the paid service as agreed. Contact [email protected] with your account email and payment reference to report a billing issue; do not send your full card details.
Price changes will apply to future billing periods only after advance notice and any agreement required by law. You may cancel before a changed price takes effect. Our subscription price does not include tickets, application fees or other amounts charged by event organizers.
The features available with your purchase are those expressly described as available at checkout. Founder community interest registration is free and is separate from a paid subscription. The community itself and any feature marked “Coming soon” are not active paid benefits and have no promised launch date. A beta invitation, saved preference or community registration does not enroll you in a paid subscription.
Email newsletters and saved-event reminders are available to active Pro members who opt in. Newsletters are prepared and reviewed before sending. You can save separate opt-in preferences for each email type; no optional emails are enabled merely by signing in or purchasing Pro. Newsletters require editorial verification before sending. Always check organizer deadlines yourself. A reminder, when available, should supplement your own planning. The subscriber remains responsible for submitting applications and attending events.
06Your information and content
You retain rights in the information you submit, including profile details, pitch notes and community registration answers. You give us permission to store and process that information as needed to provide, support and secure the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Submit only information you have the right to share. Avoid placing passwords, financial account details, highly sensitive personal information or another person’s confidential information in notes or forms.
My Pitches records and community interest forms are not public member profiles. Community answers are available to the operator for administering registrations; submitting a form does not authorize us to publish it as a public directory profile.
07Responsible use and content rights
Do not use PitchPolar for fraud, harassment, unlawful activity, unauthorized access, malware distribution or attempts to bypass access controls. Do not interfere with the service or use automation that disrupts it.
PitchPolar branding and original site content belong to their respective rights holders. Organizer names, logos, images and linked materials remain the property of their owners. A listing does not grant permission to reproduce third-party content. Sharing a link to an event is welcome; copying or republishing protected material requires permission or another lawful basis.
For a copyright or content complaint, send the relevant URL, a description of the issue and your contact details to [email protected].
08Availability and responsibility
We use reasonable care in operating PitchPolar, but the service may experience errors, interruptions or data loss. Keep a separate copy of information that is important to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not make additional warranties about uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose or third-party services. We are not responsible for an organizer’s actions or for outcomes we do not control. This does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights.
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Where appropriate and practical, we will explain the restriction and provide a way to contact us.
09Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The latest version will show its effective date. For material changes, we will provide an appropriate notice through the website or by email and obtain any agreement required by applicable law.
For questions, complaints or an account closure request, contact Aiko at [email protected]. We will review concerns in good faith. These terms do not require you to waive any mandatory rights or remedies available where you live.
