Korion Health — Hult Prize 2024 Winning Pitch
Watch the Hult Prize 2024 winner deliver its four-minute pitch and answer judges’ questions at the Global Finals in London.
Watch the prepared pitch and the questions as two parts of the same argument. Note which claims carry the social-impact story and which require evidence about the product or business. Practice answering a question about one of those claims without restarting your entire presentation.
Notes for your next pitch
About this recording
The Hult Prize Foundation publishes Korion Health's four-minute pitch followed by judges' questions from the September 6, 2024 Global Finals in London. The team presents a home health monitoring kit built around an electronic stethoscope and a guided user experience. Korion Health won that year's competition.
Product statements are presented as part of a historical competition recording. The notes below are original PitchPolar exercises for reviewing a concise pitch; they do not assess medical effectiveness or reproduce the presentation as a script.
01 Make the user task understandable
As you watch, identify the task the user is meant to complete. Note how the presentation explains the product's role and what happens after the user collects information.
For your own product, write a short sequence with a starting situation, a user action and a resulting next step. Ask someone outside your industry to tell you where they need more explanation.
02 Connect the mission to an adoption path
A mission can explain why the founders care. A business presentation also needs a way for the product to reach the intended user.
Create two columns while watching: intended benefit and evidence or mechanism. If the presentation leaves a question open, record it as a question instead of filling the gap yourself.
Practice: identify the person or organization responsible for putting your product into use. Check whether that role is clear in your current pitch.
03 Review the four-minute constraint
Notice which background details the team includes and which it leaves for questions. Draft a four-minute version of your own pitch without shrinking every slide equally.
Choose the essential argument first. Keep supporting material ready for the questions most likely to follow. Rehearse with a timer and a listener who can identify where the argument becomes unclear.
04 Learn from the questions
For each judge's question, note the requested information, the answer and any remaining uncertainty. Choose one question relevant to your business and prepare a direct response supported by a verifiable fact or an explicitly stated assumption.
After rehearsal, revise the main pitch only where extra context would benefit most listeners. Keep detailed answers in your supporting material.
